Educational Resources

Educational Resources

The CMPH Foundation places emphasis on the value of education and helping to educate the community. College degrees are regarded as primary vehicle for reducing poverty and closing the wealth gaps between people of color and whites. But the disparities that exists today in 2021 are alarming.

African American students are less likely than white students to have access to college-ready courses. In fact, in 2011-12, only 57 percent of black students have access to a full range of math and science courses necessary for college readiness, compared to with 81 percent of Asian American students and 71 percent of white students.

African American students are often located in schools with less qualified teachers, teachers with lower salaries and novice teachers.

Research has shown evidence of systematic bias in teacher expectations for African American students and non-black teachers were found to have lower expectations of black students than black teachers.

Therefore, the CEMPH Foundation, has established an Educational Service section on our website. Here you will be able to order books to further assist your child/children with their reading skills. These books are free, the parent will be responsible for shipping cost, it is that simple and easy. As our foundation grows so will the Educational Service section. This is one solution that we at the foundation can offer to help by investing in better futures for our children by strengthening his/her aptitude skills.
